	Freeze Warning
Statement as of 12:30 PM CST on December 20, 2009 ... A freeze warning is now in effect from midnight EST /11 PM CST/ tonight to 7 am EST /6 am CST/ Monday... The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a freeze warning... which is in effect from midnight EST /11 PM CST/ tonight to 7 am EST /6 am CST/ Monday. A cold and Dry Ridge of high pressure will settle in over the region tonight and allow for nearly ideal radiational cooling conditions which should produce the coldest night of the season thus far. Low temperatures could bottom out to around 26 or 27 degrees in the coldest interior locations to near freezing at the coast. In these colder locations... durations of sub-freezing temperatures could range from 4 to 7 hours... so all interests with sensitive vegetation should take the necessary precautions to protect their plants tonight. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
