Flood Warning
Statement as of 9:25 PM CST on November 11, 2009
The Flood Warning continues for
the Tallapoosa river at Wadley.
* Until late Thursday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 12.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 14.2 feet by Thursday morning. The river will fall below
flood stage by Thursday afternoon.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... flooding of pasture lands in the area occurs
and cattle should be moved to higher ground.
