Flood Warning extended until late Wednesday night... the Flood Warning continues for the Cahaba river near Cahaba Heights. * Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 9:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 16.3 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 19.8 feet by tomorrow morning . The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon . * Impact... at 20.0 feet... water overflows the yards of some homes near the river.

Statement as of 6:02 PM CST on November 10, 2009 ... Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 3 PM CST Wednesday... ... Wind Advisory is cancelled... The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect until 3 PM CST Wednesday. This will replace the Wind Advisory... which has been cancelled. North to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph will be possible. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing. 08

Multiple trees down around Shelby County throughout the day as gusty winds knock down trees in ground saturated areas.
