	Flood Warning
Statement as of 9:11 AM CST on December 23, 2009 ... Flood Warning extended until Sunday morning... the Flood Warning continues for the Escambia River near century * until Sunday morning * at 8am Wednesday the stage was 20.9 feet * minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast * flood stage is 17 feet * the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Sunday morning. * At 19.5 feet, flooding of farm and pasture lands will gradually subside as the river level drops... but some flooding will continue the next several days. 911 am CST Wed Dec 23 2009 ... Flood Warning extended until late Thursday night... the Flood Warning continues for the Conecuh river at Brewton * until late Thursday night * at 8am Wednesday the stage was 29.6 feet * minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast * flood stage is 27 feet * the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow late evening.

	Wind Advisory
Statement as of 3:29 PM CST on December 23, 2009 ... Wind Advisory in effect from 9 am to 9 PM CST Thursday... The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 9 am to 9 PM CST Thursday. A strong cold front will quickly move eastward toward the region during the day Thursday... moving across the area Thursday evening. Breezy to windy conditions will develop ahead of the front by Thursday morning and continue through the evening hours. Southeasterly to southerly sustained winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph with frequent gusts of 3o to 35 mph expected. Winds will decrease and become westerly after the frontal passage Thursday night. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds or frequent gusts of 25 to 39 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. In addition... it is also a good idea to secure any loose outdoor objects such a trash cans... patio furniture... and Holiday decorations.
