The National marine fisheries service announces that the commercial
fishery for black sea Bass in federal waters off the South Atlantic
states, through Cape Hatteras light, North Carolina, is closed
effective 1201 am local time on December 20 2009 until 1201 am local
time on June 1 2010. The operator of a vessel that has been issued a
federal commercial permit for snapper-grouper and that is Landing
black sea Bass for sale, must have landed and bartered, traded, or
sold such black sea Bass prior to 1201 am local time on December 20
2009, and all sea Bass pots must be removed from the eez as of that
time and date. During the closure, all harvest of black sea Bass is
restricted to the applicable bag and possession limits and Purchase
or sale of black sea Bass harvested from federal waters during the
closure is prohibited. In addition, the bag and possession limits
and prohibition of sale or Purchase of black sea Bass apply
regardless of where the black sea Bass were harvested, I.E., In
state or federal waters, for a vessel for which a valid federal
commercial permit or charter vessel/headboat for South Atlantic
