At 530 am...scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms were moving east across parts of interior southeast Mississippi as well as portions of southwest Alabama. Showers and storms will continue to affect the region through 8 am this morning. Additional storms...some strong...will be possible through 8 am. Any of the stronger storms that develop will contain dangerous cloud to ground lightning...gusty winds up to 25 or 30 mph and brief heavy rainfall. Movement of the activity will continue to be toward the east at around 20 to 25 mph.
