Flood Warning extended until late Wednesday night... the Flood Warning continues for the Cahaba river near Cahaba Heights. * Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 9:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 16.3 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 19.8 feet by tomorrow morning . The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon . * Impact... at 20.0 feet... water overflows the yards of some homes near the river.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect until 3 PM CST Wednesday. This will replace the Wind Advisory... which has been cancelled. North to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph will be possible. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing. 08
