in a short period. The ground is saturated and rain will
quickly run off causing flooding problems including area
rivers.
* Many rivers in the watch area are still above flood stage as a
result of rain received earlier this week. Additional heavy
rainfall will exacerbate the river flooding situation. Those

above flood stage are urged to listen for the latest
forecasts and warnings.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
