... Flash Flood Watch now in effect through Sunday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* all of northern Alabama and a portion of southern middle
Tennessee... including the following areas... in Alabama...
Colbert... Cullman... DeKalb... Franklin al... Jackson...
Lauderdale... Lawrence... Limestone... Madison... Marshall and Morgan
counties. In southern middle Tennessee... Franklin TN... Lincoln and
Moore counties.

* Through Sunday morning.

* The threat for widespread heavy rainfall will persist through
Sunday morning... with an additional 1 to 3 inches expected for
most of the area. Locally higher amounts will be possible in some
locations.

* Saturated soils will result in significant runoff and flash
flooding of roadways... low lying areas and small streams.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action if a
Flash Flood Warning is issued for your location.
