Partly cloudy with isolated snow showers in the evening...then mostly cloudy with a chance of snow after midnight. Lows around 10 above except around zero through the pass. Light winds except northeast 35 to 45 mph through the pass.

Numerous snow showers. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Highs around 30 except around 20 through the pass. Variable wind 10 mph. Through the pass...northeast wind 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph becoming variable 10 mph in the afternoon.

Statement as of 12:30 PM AKST on November 12, 2009 ... Record daily snowfall tied at Valdez... The daily snowfall total at the Valdez Weather Service office recorded 11 inches on Veterans Day... this ties the previous record set back in 1973. Also to note... the total 2 day snowfall from Wednesday to Thursday was 15.9 inches which is the highest 2 day total on record... in 1974 the November 11 and 12 amount was 15.7 inches.
