A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 4 PM akst Monday. Strong winds through Portage Valley and eastern turnagain continue early this morning. East winds increasing to 40 to 65 mph with gusts to 80 mph through Portage Valley and Turnagain Arm through Monday. These winds are expected through Monday afternoon before diminishing.\| Precautionary/preparedness actions... A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Drivers of high profile vehicles should use extreme caution when traveling through eastern Turnagain Arm and Portage Valley late tonight and during the day Monday.
