Blizzard Warning in effect until 5 am akst Friday for Thompson Pass...
	Now Blizzard Warning in effect until 5 am akst Friday for Thompson Pass... expect easterly winds to 25 mph at Keystone Canyon...to 45 mph at Thompson Pass causing blowing snow reducing visibilities to less than one quarter mile at times. A mixture of rain and snow will continue across Valdez to mile 18 with additional accumulation less than 1 inch...from mile 18 to Thompson Pass additional accumulation to 4 inches is expected through 4 am Friday morning.
	Tonight Snow...possibly mixed with rain at lower elevations. Snow accumulation 5 to 12 inches. Lows in the lower 30s except around 20 through the pass. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Through the pass...northeast winds 30 to 50 mph with blowing snow reducing visibilities below one quarter mile at times.
	Friday Snow and rain in the morning...then numerous snow showers in the afternoon. Snow accumulation 1 to 4 inches. Highs in the lower 30s except in the lower 20s through the pass. 	Blizzard Warning
Statement as of 5:26 PM AKST on November 26, 2009 ... Blizzard Warning in effect until 5 am akst Friday for Thompson Pass... A Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 5 am akst Friday. Fresh snow fell in the wake of a storm system that dissipated early this morning. Another storm in the Gulf is continuing to strengthen this evening. Blizzard conditions initially will be due to an increasing pressure gradient which will produce strong north winds of 30 to 45 mph by this evening through Thompson Pass. This will result in the fresh snow being picked up and blown around... occasionally reducing visibility to one quarter mile or less. Later this evening... steadier snow will again begin to fall as the storm advances north. The strong winds will continue... and coupled with periods of heavy snow will sustain the blizzard conditions overnight Thursday into early Friday through Thompson Pass. Winds will diminish and precipitation will taper to lighter showers early Friday morning... bringing an end to the blizzard conditions. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to white-out conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. All travel and outdoor activity is strongly discouraged.
