Statement as of 9:49 PM AKDT on March 19, 2010 ... Warm weather sets new records in Valdez today... A new record high temperature was achieved in Valdez this afternoon when the Mercury rose to 47 degrees..replacing the existing record high temperature for this date of 44 degrees set in 1998. Another Milestone was also reached. The highest low temperature recorded on this date was tied this morning when the low only sank to 32 degrees..the same low that was recorded on 19 March 1998.
