... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 6 PM akst this
evening...
A coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 6 PM akst this
evening.
Coastal flooding is expected Thursday. Tides of 3 to 5 feet above
normal are expected. Coastal flooding is expected in some low
lying areas.
The high water and high waves could push sea ice on shore. Wave
driven sea ice can cause great damage to structures.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Warning means that rising sea water that causes
flooding is expected. Coastal residents in the warned area should
be alert for rising water... and take actions to protect life and
property.

... Two records broken at wein Memorial Airport... on November 11, 2009 Kotzebue broke two records. Kotzebue received .62 inches of precipitation the previous record was .35 inches set in 1990. The second record was for snowfall. Kotzebue received 8.2 inches of snowfall. The previous record was 3.5 inches set in 1990.
