Statement as of 11:22 PM AKST on December 21, 2009 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am akst Tuesday... A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am akst Tuesday. Snow is beginning to taper off in the Nulato Hills... an additional inch is possible tonight... winds will continue to gust in excess of 40 mph. However... warmer air moving in will increase visibilities and bring a chance of freezing rain overnight. Rain will freeze on cold soaked ground surfaces causing ice to form... ice accumulation will be less than one tenth of an inch. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory means that one or more winter hazards are expected to cause travel difficulties. Use caution when traveling.
