... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9 am Saturday to noon
akst Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... blowing snow... and winds which is in
effect from 9 am Saturday to noon akst Sunday.

* Blowing snow... reducing visibility to one half mile or less.

* Snow... 2 to 5 inches.

* Winds... west at 15 to 25 mph gusting around 40 mph... strongest
on summits.

* Timing... winds will increase during the late morning in the west
with conditions deteriorating by early afternoon. Conditions
will improve from the west beginning early Sunday morning.

* Impacts... visibility will be greatly reduced and snow will
accumulate into drifts. Whiteout conditions may occur. Travel
and outdoor activities will be difficult.
