Radar and satellite are showing an increase in showers and cloud cover across the Bristol Bay zone this afternoon. Snow showers are moving west to east with some occasional moderate to heavy snow showers in the flow. Look for snow showers to continue through this evening with another 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible. Winds will be generally southwest to west 5 to 15 mph with occasional gusts of 30 to 35 mph west of Togiak through this evening.

... Record daily snowfall tied at Valdez...
The daily snowfall total at the Valdez Weather Service office recorded 11 inches on Veterans Day... this ties the previous record set back in 1973. Also to note... the total 2 day snowfall from Wednesday to Thursday was 15.9 inches which is the highest 2 day total on record... in 1974 the November 11 and 12 amount was 15.7 inches.
