Statement as of 8:00 am AKST on November 9, 2009 ... Snowfall amounts in the Anchorage area... The first measurable snow of the season for the Anchorage NWS forecast office occurred overnight. The snow started around 6 PM on the 8th and ended around 4 am on the 9th. The following is a report of snow amounts across the area... Anchorage area... 1. Hillside near omalley trailhead 5.5" 2.
