A storm in the northern Gulf of Alaska will be moving over the Yukon territory today... bringing heavy snow to the southeastern interior of Alaska. Substantial snowfall... a storm total from 6 inches to 10 inches by the time the snow lets up around midnight tonight... is expected in upper Tanana Valley and the fortymile country. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning means significant winter weather hazards are expected. This will make travel and outdoor activity very hazardous.
