Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 4:12 PM AKDT on May 21, 2015

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 9 PM akdt Friday for
low humidity for the Copper River basin...

* 20 ft winds... south winds 5 to 15 mph during the afternoon and
evening hours through Friday.

* Relative humidity... around 15 percent during the afternoon and
evening hours today and Friday recovering above 50 percent by
midnight.

* Temperatures... in the 70s.

* Timing... humidities are expected to fall to critical values
during the afternoon and evening hours through Friday. South
winds will develop each afternoon and evening along the Copper
River but will remain below 25 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions... a red flag warning means
that critical fire weather conditions are imminent or occurring
now... or will shortly. It is directed toward fire agencies... and
through them to the public.
