... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 PM akst
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow remains in effect until
4 PM akst Thursday.
* Snowfall... additional snowfall of 8 to 16 inches is expected
through Thursday afternoon with highest amounts over northern
areas. Snowfall rate could exceed one inch per hour with the
visibility below one half mile at times.
* Main impact... motor vehicle travel will be hazardous. Snow
removal operations will continue with delays on highways.
Expect poor tire traction and poor visibility at times.
Boat and aircraft owners are advised to remove heavy wet snow.
Heavy wet snow will be difficult to manage due to high water
Snow loading may jeopardize the roofs of weaker structures.
A warning means that a winter storm is already occurring or
imminent. This storm could pose a threat to life and property.
