...High Wind Warning remains in effect until midnight akst tonight...

* location...Juneau downtown and Douglas vicinity

* wind...gusts from 60 to 65 mph

* timing...high wind gusts will continue through Thursday evening.

* Impacts...these winds could cause branches to fall onto power lines. Be prepared in case there is a loss of power.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...please ensure that vessels are properly moored in Douglas and Harris harbors.

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.

Motorists should be mindful of strong Crosswinds on highways and bridges.

A warning means that high winds are already occurring or imminent. These winds could pose a threat to life and property.

This statement will be updated by noon akst Thursday or sooner if conditions warrant.
