Through 900 PM...numerous showers with a few embedded thunderstorms will continue to weaken over extreme southeast Mississippi and Mobile County in extreme southwest Alabama including Mobile Bay. Scattered thunderstorms will gradually weaken over Escambia County Florida and the eastern portion of Baldwin County as well. Wind gusts to 25 mph will be possible with the storms as well as up to 1.5 inches of rainfall.

Statement as of 7:34 PM CDT on July 12, 2009
The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued an
* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
central Escambia County in northwest Florida...
east central Baldwin County in southwest Alabama...
* until 1030 PM CDT
* at 732 PM CDT... several thunderstorms moving slowly over central
Escambia County Florida and the far east central portion of Butler
County Alabama have produced heavy rainfall with radar estimates
indicating near 3 inches of rain has fallen in the past hour in this
area. As the thunderstorms continue moving slowly southward... these
heavy rains will result in nusiance flooding of poor drainage areas
until the rainfall drains completely.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
