Active weather continues across southeastern Europe on Friday as low pressure extending across the Black Sea remains the dominant weather feature of the region. Moisture spreading across the region combined with energy from the system will maintain widely scattered light to moderate rain showers from Ukraine through Serbia and southeastward into Bulgaria and parts of Greece. A cold front dropping in from the north will enhance precipitation in this region and spark chances of precipitation to in Italy and southeastern France by the afternoon.

To the north, another cold front will drop southeastward across the Scandinavia Peninsula. Precipitation forming ahead of this front will remain restricted to the northern regions of Norway, Sweden, and Finland. High pressure follows the cold front on Saturday with drier conditions.

Elsewhere, generally fair skies and relatively warm weather are anticipated across much of the British Isles, the Iberian Peninsula, and the central mainland countries throughout the day. By Friday night, an approaching cold front is expected to bring chances of light showers to northern Portugal and northwestern Spain.
