Rip current risk today: high.
In addition to rough surf...numerous strong rip currents are
expected again today. There will also be an increasing longshore
current flowing from south to north today. With the surf being rough
once again today...large breaking waves could knock you off your
feet and make you more susceptible to becoming caught in a rip
current. Entering the surf above your knees will be dangerous today.

Given the rough surf conditions...beach goers are strongly advised
to get additional information on ocean hazards from the beach patrol.
If you decide to enter the water...swim only within sight of a
lifeguard...and never swim alone.

Outlook for Monday...partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers in
the morning...then a slight chance of afternoon showers and
thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
Chance of rain 20 percent.
