Cunene River to Walvis Bay:
wind : S to se 15 to 25.
Vis : poor in fog patches overnight.
Sea state: 2.0 to 2.5m, SW swell.
Walvis Bay to the Orange River:
wind : se to SW 10 to 20 becoming NE to NW 10 to 20 from the south. It will become SW 15 towards end of period.
Vis : poor in fog patches overnight. Moderate in a few showers in the south later.
Sea state: reaching 2.0m in some places, 3.0 to 3.5m in the south during second half of period, mainly SW swell.
Orange River to cape agulhas:
wind : NW to W 15 to 25 becoming SW to S 15 to 25.
Vis : moderate to poor in frontal rain and showers, mainly during first half of period.
Sea state: 2.0 to 3.0m but 3.0 to 4.0m in the south, spreading northwards to reach the Orange River by mid period, mainly SW swell.
Cape Agulhas to east london:
wind : NW to SW 15 to 25, reaching 30 in some places, and becoming SW to S 10 to 20 from the west during second half of period, reaching east London end of period.
Vis : moderate to poor in frontal rain and showers.
Sea state: 3.0 to 4.0m, with SW swell becoming mainly SW swell.
East London to Maputo:
wind : SW to se 10 to 15 in the extreme north, otherwise NW to NE 10 to 20 spreading northwards and reaching Maputo mid-period. It will become SW 15 to 25 in the south from mid-period, spreading northwards to reach the tugela river by end of period.
Vis : good.
Sea state: 2.0 to 3.0m in the south, becoming 3.5m in the extreme south towards end of period, SW swell.
Mozambique channel:
wind :
north of 15s: se 05 to 10 but 20 to 25 in the extreme North-East.
South of 15s: anticyclonic (anti-clockwise) 05 to 10 becoming NE to N 15 to 25 in the South-West.
Vis : moderate in a few light showers in the extreme North.
Sea state: reaching 3.0m in the extreme North-East, SW swell but E swell in the extreme north.
