Very rough seas with wave heights in excess of 4m is expected between cape Columbine and Cape St Francis overnight on Thursday, spreading eastwards to port Alfred on Friday and port Edward on Saturday, reaching Richards Bay on Sunday evening. 2. Moderate visibility is expected between cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas at the end of the period.

Cunene River to Walvis Bay: wind : S to se 10 to 20, but SW 10 to 15 at times during the period. Vis : good, but poor in fog patches in the north at first. Sea state: 2.0m, S to SW swell.

Walvis Bay to Orange River: wind : S to se 10 to 20. Vis : good, becoming poor in fog patches in the south at the end of the period. Sea state: 2.0m, SW swell.

Orange River to cape agulhas: wind : S 10 a first, otherwise W to NW 10 to 20, reaching 25 to 30 in the extreme south towards the end of the period. Vis : good, becoming moderate in rain south of cape Columbine at the end of the period. Sea state: 2.0 to 3.0m, becoming 4.0 to 6.0m south of cape Columbine in the second half of the period, mainly SW swell.

Cape Agulhas to east london: wind : W to NW 10 to 15, reaching 20 to 30. Vis : good. Sea state: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 5.0m in the west at the end of the period, SW swell.

East London to Maputo: wind : S to SW 10 to 20 in the north at first, otherwise N to NE 10 to 20. Vis : good. Sea state: 2.5m, mainly SW swell.

Mozambique channel: wind : se to SW 15 to 25. Vis : moderate in showers and thundershowers becoming good towards the end of the period.
