Synopsis...
a low pressure system moving southward off the Southern California
and northern Baja California coast will bring showers and isolated
thunderstorms to the coastal waters this morning and a slight
chance of showers to coastal areas. A weak trough of low pressure
moving through Southern California this afternoon will bring a
chance of showers to the mountains this afternoon. Dry with a
warming trend for Wednesday into the weekend under high pressure.

Discussion...for extreme southwestern California including Orange...
San Diego...western Riverside and southwestern San Bernardino
counties...

A low pressure system moving southward off the Southern California
and northern Baja California coast will bring showers and isolated
thunderstorms to the coastal waters this morning and a slight
chance of showers to coastal areas. A weak trough of low pressure
moving through Southern California this afternoon will bring a
chance of showers to the mountains this afternoon with the snow
level near 5000 to 5500 feet.

For Wednesday through Sunday...high pressure aloft over California
and weak offshore flow will bring a warming trend with high
temperatures 8 to 15 degrees above average for next weekend. Weak
onshore flow may return for early next week for slow cooling.
The offshore flow will bring locally gusty northeast winds near
the coastal foothills for Wednesday into Sunday. The winds could
be near advisory strength Wednesday below the Cajon Pass and near
the coastal foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains.

Aviation...
031000z...coasts/valleys/mountains...scattered to
locally broken clouds between 3000-10000 feet mean sea level and scattered
light showers will continue through 22z...except until 01z this
afternoon in the mountains. Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are
possible over the coastal waters and adjacent coastal areas
through 21z...although chances of thunderstorms impacting any Airport is
low. In thunderstorms...visible 3sm or less...ceilings down to 2500 feet
mean sea level...small hail...and gusty winds are possible. After sunset VFR
ceilings/visible prevail.

Deserts...scattered clouds around 8000-10000 feet mean sea level...locally
broken particularly between 18-01z...unrestricted visible through
tonight.

Marine...
200 am...scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms
will continue through this morning. Thunderstorms may produce
small hail...brief heavy rain...gusty winds...cloud-to-water
lightning...and or waterspouts. See the marine weather
statement...laxmwssgx...for details. Conditions will improve this
afternoon...with no hazardous marine weather expected Wednesday
through Saturday.
