NIGHTS AND MORNINGS WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS AND LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS ON
THE DESERT MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND FOOTHILLS. THE TROUGH WILL WEAKEN
NEXT WEEK BRINGING WARMER WEATHER TO FINISH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
LESS EXTENSIVE COASTAL CLOUDS AND SEASONAL WEATHER WILL CONTINUE
NEXT WEEK.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

COASTAL LOW CLOUDS HAVE STRUGGLED TO FORM AND SPREAD INLAND
OVERNIGHT...BUT THE PLAN IS BY SUNRISE MOST OF THE COASTAL BASIN
SHOULD BE COVERED IN LOW CLOUDS. AT THE SAME TIME THE HIGHER CLOUDS
WERE SLOWLY CLEARING OUT. SUNNY SKIES WILL PREVAIL EVERYWHERE AFTER
THE MORNING BURNOFF. THE COOL WEATHER AND HEALTHY MARINE LAYER OF
3000 FOOT DEPTH ARE BROUGHT TO US BY A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH HOVERING
OVER THE WEST COAST. THIS THING WILL SLOWLY DEEPEN OVER CALIFORNIA
THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT. THE ONSHORE FLOW WILL PICK UP A LITTLE AND
THAT WILL BOOST WINDS THROUGH MOUNTAIN PASSES AND INTO ADJACENT
DESERT FOOTHILLS EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING TODAY AND PARTICULARLY
FRIDAY. IT WILL ALSO ENSURE THE ENTIRE COASTAL BASIN FILLS WITH
CLOUDS EACH NIGHT. THE TROUGH LIFTS OUT AND WEAKENS OVER CALIFORNIA
OVER THE WEEKEND. WITH HIGHER HEIGHTS ALOFT OUR AIR MASS WILL BEGIN
TO WARM SUNDAY TO PRODUCE DAYTIME TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO AVERAGE
THROUGH THE HOLIDAY. A SLIGHT INCREASE IN HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL
KEEP THE WARM AND SEASONAL WEATHER COMING. ANY TROPICAL OR MONSOON
MOISTURE PRETTY MUCH STAYS TO OUR SOUTH AND EAST.
